About BLAST
BLAST Wakeskate Magazine is a publication produced bi-monthly and distributed throughout the United States to dealers, board shops, cable parks, events, and instructional camps free of charge. Each issue is also viewable and archived here on our website as they are published. We feel strong about supporting "rider owned and/or operated" entities and understand that the incentive to do so will innovate and push the sport as we know it with no boundaries. Whether it's an afternoon at your favorite gap, a day out on the lake or river with the crew, or enjoying your experience at an event, we want to capture the lifestyle of the wakeskate community to promote the sport that we hold so dear to our hearts. To all the pioneers of our sport from the past and the ones to be, we thank you for your hard work, dedication, and vision you have for what is possible on and off the water; none of this could be possible without you.
Cheers & Happy Shredding!

This past spring the slayshTank crew and riders came together for an outing outside of Austin, TX for an enjoyable weekend of camping, riding, and shooting. This was the first time for the riders out of state and in Texas to get together for the season. With a winch and flat bar at camp, ski’s taking skate sets, and the Enzo throwing a massive rip for the surfers, there was something going on nearly every second of the day. Here’s a video from film maker Ryan Light with riding from Andrew Fortenberry, Bret Little, and Collin Gee.
Russell Brightwell and Alex Haney gettin’ it done with some nice rail variations. Lookin’ forward to catchin’ up with these guys later this summer on a road trip east bound I-10.
Tanner Champion has been riding quite a bit this summer behind the winch. He dropped us a line to see how everything is going along with a couple of shots from MEKA. Tanner was our first featured New Blood rider some time ago in the first issue of Blast, check him out on pages 32 & 33. Hopefully we’ll see some more of his beautiful winch spots in issue 1.3. Thanks Tanner and keep on rippin’ bud!
