The Orlando Wakeboard Academy will be holding a wakeskate only week at their camp from November 8-14. The week long wakeskate only session will include many forms of riding, along with instruction from wakeskater Derek Seaman and Orlando Wakeboard Camp guest rider Nick Taylor.
The week will offer five days of riding with at least three sets per day, with riding options including boat sets, PWC sets, and the opportunity to hit some rails or the camp’s permanant pool gap for some day or night sessions. Campers will also have the opportunity to build their own rails, which will be designed to suit the ability levels and interests of those attending the Orlando Wakeboard Academy’s wakeskate week. The diversity within the Orlando Wakeboard Academy is one reason why the location is perfect for a wakeskate specific week. Derek Seaman, wakeskater and co-founder of the Orlando Wakeboard Academy says, “Our camp includes many aspects of wakeskating most people can’t access in one place. We thought that combining that with the laid back experience of our camp would make for a fun week of wakeskating.”
However, the riding opportunities won’t stop there, since everyone will also have the chance to session the camp’s mini ramp, and maybe even head out to the beach for the surf set, or to Adrenalina for a flow rider trip. And each night the footage from the day will be compiled into a highlight video and posted on the front page of Wakeskating.com the next day.
No matter who you are or what your ability level is on a wakeskate, remember that this week is all about wakeskating, progressing, hanging with new friends, and having all of it at your fingertips for an entire week. Everything at the camp will be beginner friendly while making sure everyone involved is being pushed to the next level.
Since Orlandowake is a small, intimate camp, only five spots will be available for the week. The limited camping spots will ensure that everyone will be able to get to know each other while having enough water time. The cost for the week is $1300, which includes lodging, all meals and crazy amounts of fun. Please contact the Orlando Wake Academy at orlandowake@gmail.com or 407-374-WAKE(9253) for details or to sign up.
