Monday, February 22nd, 2010Winter Lake Austin…
Monday, February 22nd, 2010Yesterday’s high of 75 here in Central Texas brought out everyone from the wallie’s breaking in their new rides to the GP’s cruizin’ their pontoons. LA is going to be quite busy this season, flat water sets will be few and far between most afternoons, but luckily with all the rain lately, other areas will be heavily pursued where we’ll find buttery sets all day long with very little traffic…Looking forward.

Monday, February 15th, 2010Technique 101: Backside Body Varials
Friday, February 12th, 20101. First thing you want to do is set your feet as if you were going to do an ollie.
2. Then start at the trough of the wake and take a mellow edge out about 10 feet and flatten off.
3. Let go with you back hand as you flatten off.
4. When you have taken your back hand off and flattened off, wait until you feel comfortable and then go for it.
5. When you do it, you dont really do an ollie you just jump striaight up to were the board stays directly under you.
6. Now you want to turn your body backside and watch the center of the board.
7. As you land make sure you land over your toes. And keep your head looking down until you are for sure you have landed it.
8. Sometimes if you look up to soon your body will open up when your not ready for it and you will fall over your heels.
