Monday, August 2nd, 2010slayshTank March Madness
Wednesday, July 21st, 2010This past spring the slayshTank crew and riders came together for an outing outside of Austin, TX for an enjoyable weekend of camping, riding, and shooting. This was the first time for the riders out of state and in Texas to get together for the season. With a winch and flat bar at camp, ski’s taking skate sets, and the Enzo throwing a massive rip for the surfers, there was something going on nearly every second of the day. Here’s a video from film maker Ryan Light with riding from Andrew Fortenberry, Bret Little, and Collin Gee.

Tanner Champion Checkin’ in…
Tuesday, June 29th, 2010Tanner Champion has been riding quite a bit this summer behind the winch. He dropped us a line to see how everything is going along with a couple of shots from MEKA. Tanner was our first featured New Blood rider some time ago in the first issue of Blast, check him out on pages 32 & 33. Hopefully we’ll see some more of his beautiful winch spots in issue 1.3. Thanks Tanner and keep on rippin’ bud!

Devotid picks up Brightwell
Thursday, June 3rd, 2010Up in Michigan, Devotid Wakeskates has quietly been in a building stage. It’s been a mellow and somewhat secret mission that we are on. Not much can be said for now but current day to day business has not changed. But in the backs of our minds (and lost somewhere in the shop) rest the plans for the future. For now we’re just expanding our facility, family, product line, and dodging the cold weather more.
In this growing stage we have been lucky enough to find our newwest addition to the team. Atlanta native, Russell Brightwell. I met Russ for the first time when he came out to the Union Park/Baja Brawl Winch event last Labor Day weekend in Millington, Michigan. He ended up winning the top prize money with some crazy a$$ Krooks Shuv Out … after seeing that I just remember going “uh okay, give that dude the money!” Before that weekend I had only seen Russell shred on www.lasewer.com and a few other online web edits. But to see this guy in person was something else. Simply put, he destroys rails. From Nose Grinds to Krooks, but Blunts are the dirty south gangstas favorite!
We have been working with Russ on his new concave shape for the last few months and after we got the “thumbs up” are now offering it on the new www.devotid.com online wake store. We also have some matching shirts in the clothing section sporting the new ATL skyline graphic. So show your southern support for Russ and the rest of the dirty south gangstas by scooping some fresh threads today.
In celebration of Russell’s homecoming we are sending FREE full length videos ( In Its Travels, Beans and Rice, Homeless, and We’re Just Skiing) with all board orders purchased on www.devoitd.com this month.
