Sunday, April 4th, 2010The slayshTank crew got together for a spring riding session in order to kick off the season and the launch of the new slayshTank 2.0 site, launching within days…A handful of the wakeskaters and surfers were able to make it to the Pedrognarles for a 3 day extravaganza including but not limited to: mucho riding, winching, shooting, brisket, music, campfires, portraits, Lee’s breakfast, and a good party getting together for the first time for the 2010 season. Monday, March 1st, 2010Recently the Texas Ski Ranch hosted the seventh annual FreezeRide to kick off the 2010 season. After a long off season, FreezeRide always launches the Tournament season at TSR and gets a little stoke back in the bones. This year riders from as far away as California, Minnesota and Florida joined the always-present group from Kansas City Watersports that are anxious for the start of their season. It was the slayshTank Team that showed up to compete on Saturday, placing in 7 of the top 10 spots for the Pro Wakeskate Divisions. Grant Roberts from the Obscura team took 1st on cable. Oury Yarbrough kept it fresh by taking 1st in Pro Boat Division and 2nd on the Cables. Bret Little, David Roehm, Collin Gee, and Matt Davidson also made impressions for all those who showed up. Blake’s New Setup
Tuesday, February 9th, 2010At the beginning of this year, Blake Steele and family just found a new piece of property out on the Amite River to build on. Now instead of Blake having to travel 30 minutes everyday to meet up with friends to take one, hopefully two sets in a day…. has now turned into unlimited access to the water, and new tricks! Looking forward to getting some great tricks, angles, and use out of this “perfect setup”.
